For renters
How to request a furniture piece
Choose from owner-published listings, ask about the dates you need, then work through the rental and handoff directly with the listing owner.
The current process
From browsing to handoff
SofaSparrow listings introduce pieces and their published terms. Rental requests begin as inquiries; they are not bookings or availability confirmations.
Browse owner-published listings
Start at Browse listings to see furniture published by its owner. A listing being public does not confirm that it is currently available.
Review the item and its published terms
Check the photos, description, dimensions, weekly price, damage deposit, rental terms, pickup times and any published delivery details before choosing a piece.
Send an inquiry for the piece you want
Open the listing’s inquiry form and provide your desired start and end dates, name, and reply email. The form sends an inquiry to the listing owner; it is non-binding.
Discuss the request with the listing owner
You and the owner can talk directly about the dates, availability, terms and whether you both want to proceed. The inquiry alone does not confirm availability, delivery, a rental or payment.
Agree on the rental and payment directly
If you and the owner decide to proceed, you arrange any payment and finalize the rental directly with each other, according to your agreement. SofaSparrow does not collect or process rental payments.
Coordinate receipt, pickup or delivery
You and the owner coordinate how you will receive the piece. Pickup or any offered delivery is arranged directly according to the agreement you make together.
